How the Evening Works
How the Evening Works
The Night That Stages Itself.
No rehearsals. No memorizing. No complicated setup. The game runs itself — you step in only where you have to, and play along the rest of the time.
In about 2.5 hours, across five rounds:
- Round 1 · Introductions — Every guest introduces their character to the table.
- Round 2 · The Draw — The murderer slip is drawn. One of you becomes the killer — and it could even be you.
- Round 3 · Suspicions — Each guest questions another. No one is above suspicion.
- Round 4 · Motive — The grudges come out. Ruined careers, cut inheritances, debts unpaid — who had a reason to want the master of the house dead?
- Round 5 · Method — Who had the means, and the moment?
- The Vote & The Reveal — Everyone casts their guess. The murderer reveals themselves. The winner is crowned.
Every round comes with a course, a wine, and a new twist. All you need are your friends, a dinner, and a craving for the best night of the year.

Does the game require printing, or can I play it on screen?
Both work. Traditionally, you print the PDFs — that gives you the tactile feel and the 1920s atmosphere. No printer? Each guest just opens their booklet on their phone. Video call play works too, if friends live in other cities. The game adapts to your night, not the other way around.
Can I play the game multiple times?
Can I play the game multiple times?
As many times as you want. Because the murderer is chosen at random at the table, every night plays out differently — even with the same guests. Each character has two fully written versions, one as innocent and one as guilty. Buy once, host a hundred times.
How much prep do I need to do as the host?
How much prep do I need to do as the host?
Around 30 minutes on the day itself — print the PDFs, write the name tags, set out the wine and cheese. No rehearsals, no memorizing, no complicated rules. Every scene is fully written, every answer scripted. You're not refereeing — you're playing along.
What else should I have ready for the night?
What else should I have ready for the night?
Your friends, a dinner, wine and cheese. That's it. A printer or a copy shop for the PDFs. Candles are nice, but not required. An invitation template comes with the set, and we suggest the menu in the host guide. No hidden extras.
